Lemme give you some context for starting this venture...
First of all, I, in no way, claim to be a professional photographer. I am most certainly, by definition, an amateur and hobbyist.
I have owned my DSLR for almost 18 months.
Only in recent months have I been proactively engaged in learning how to use the thing and have started applying my newly acquired knowledge into my photographic practice.
I've been reading lots of articles in getting started with photography, and pretty much every one of them recommended creating a blog. So, upon that advice, along with inspiration from other photographers' blogs, I have started one of my own.
This blog serves to document my learning and growth, both in capturing photos and in post-processing photos. It also serves to simply share my work and inspiration.
My hope is that in sharing my learning process with others, I can in turn receive feedback and support from others and continue to build upon the knowledge I receive. So, bring on the feedback!!
My goal is to get to a point where I can confidently and knowledgeably take beautiful, memorable and meaningful photographs.
But until then, let the journey begin!
